Belated Gang-Twanger RIP

Ooooh, I am soooo very sadden (and shocked) to learn of Gang-Twanger's passing. I haven't been too active here at AK of late since I developed Tinnitus. Derek was a super nice guy and I recall when he and his Mom visited my Home in Maine and G-T went home with one of my two pairs of vintage Wharfedale W-90 which he so dearly loved. RIP Derek.

SixCats!

Just ran across this thread. I have been wondering for quite some time about Gang-Twanger's lack of posts. Although he inspired me to find some Wharfedales, I have yet to find a pair, so will have to fire up something close this week in tribute. He posted so often about the Wharfedale W-90, I cannot separate the two when I think about them.

I can't remember that little DAC Gang-Twanger was so excited about.

He thought it brought out the best in his W-90s.

I'll have to find one of those, maybe someday we'll get to listen to it.

RIP GangTwanger! Derek’s unwavering enthusiasm for the Wharfedale w90 inspired me to try a pair, Im glad I did as they became one of my favorite speakers of all time! His posts were always a positive and very entertaining read, he will be missed dearly.

Sad news, Derek was always a great help especially when I was restoring my W-70's. I had wondered why he was absent from AK, RIP my friend!

Rest in Peace Gang-Twanger

So very sorry to hear about Gang-Twanger, who helped me decide to drive five hours for a pair of Wharfedales, which have since brought incredible joy to my life. His enthusiasm was authentic and inspiring.
