Best components to match to Rega RP8/Apheta

I've been doing a lot of thinking of upgrading from my mid-level Music Hall turntable to something a little bit more spectacular and I'm down to either the Rega RP8 with the Apheta cartridge or the Clearaudio Concept. The one unknown I'm struggling with is that several reviews of the Rega have noted that it needs to be very carefully matched with the rest of your component system to really bring the best of its performance out. However, I can't find any website or forum where anyone discusses what kind of set up might be best. Does anyone have this turntable and can share thoughts on how well it is matched to their system or does anyone have thoughts on what the best components to match with this turntable might be?

Currently I have a vintage Mitsubishi pre-amp and a Jolida tube amp as a power amp. Speakers are JBL L55s which I've partially converted to the set up with the crossover and treble horns pioneered here at audiokarma which I can't for the life of me remember the name for. Essentially you take a speaker like the L55, cut out a hole for the treble horn above the woofer, assemble the crossover as delivered, and hook up the treble control knob. Yeah, that's totally vague - it's just been years since I've been here and can't remember the name for the process.

Anyway, the important part is the discussion on compatible components for the Rega.

The Apheta 2 and one version of the Clearaudio Concept cartridge are moving coil type cartridges, are you prepare to go that route?
