best wishes bolly!

Bolly, best of wishes & hang in there!!
I too have had problems with a shoulder that will sometimes dis-locate. When the socket has popped....it is a pain beyond description, so I can relate. I don't know how severe your shoulder problem is compared to mine, but I've never pursued surgery to have it corrected.
I'm just very careful with my right shoulder. It can only dis-locate when my arm is elevated up high anyway.

Heres to a speedy recovery!!!

Ow...that can't be comfortable! God speed to your surgeons to do precision work, and to you for a quick bounce-back. We're pullin for ya in The Republic of Beerbratistan! :D

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, my friend!

Good luck, Greg. I had mine repaired in the Tri-Services Hospital in Ottawa years ago and it has been 100% ever since.

bummer, that should remedy itself in a day or so. make sure you stay on top of the pain. if whatever you have isnt cutting it, call your doc and get something that does.

Pain

Glad everything is OK Greg, great to hear.
Dingus has it right with the pain, stay ahead of it!!! Once you get behind, you cannot catch up. Take care my friend!

Hope You're Feeling Better

Hi Bolly l know this weekend will be tough, hang in there buddy. :thmbsp:

Not surprise about your shoulder problem originates from moving all that heavy vintage gear around. :scratch2:

This practice must be avoided in the future. It is unfortunate you don't have any members who could help in, what ever that place you live in is called, oh let's see.

OH MY GOD! you live in Ontario just south of me, well 400 miles is just south. I never knew.

To shy to ask Bolly no problem pack up the Spec stuff, AR9'S ship them north. As always l can feel the love on this site. :D

:lmao: Jeez, Bigmacc. You never miss a chance. I admire such courage!

Glad to see you pulled thru, Bolly. Take it easy as much as you can, and make sure the only thing you lift is the remote and beer bottles.

Tom

thank you very much guys for your kind words. Only day surgery(left-shoulder ligament repair) but, I hope the guy wakes up on the right side of the bed tomorrow.

I have been recovering from a complete rotator cuff tear, since 4/18. Sounds like you had the same surgery. I'll tell ya real quick, it hurts. :) Plus it's a bitch trying to sleep with all the slings on. I have been sling free for about 4 weeks now, and my doc let me quit therapy after 4 weeks. (10 visits). I hope to be back to work middle of July.

Glad to see you got through it fine.

Just make sure you do what the Doc's say and don't try to be a hero and get ahead of schedule. You gotta work it, but not strain it, so leave those 40# speakers and tape decks lay for a while. All you should be lifting are CDs, LPS, and 12 oz beverages!!

Glad to hear everything went well Greg. We were in Indy for the Klipsch Pilgrimage this weekend, so I was away from the computer. My father always told me that if I did it to much that I would go blind. He never warned me of the shoulder risks :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Take care Greg.

once again, thanks fellas!

I removed my bandage expecting to see a couple or three 1/4" holes in my flesh(expecting a scope-job)...well, imagine my surprise when I see this, a gash almost 4" friggin long! :yikes:

Yeah, well, Greg, looks pretty good, all things considered...my knee has an ugly red welt1/4" wide & about 6" long...Let them little translucent Band-Aid lookin' thingies come off on their own..it will about be healed over when they do.Seriously, that's a nice-lookin' job. -Sandy G.
