OP, there have been no bad reports about the Fosi 48V/5A power supply. It's quiet and works well. It also DOES matter how much power you deliver to these little chip amps. Check the ASR testing/review of the Fosi V3 and you'll see a massive difference in wattage delivered by the amp using the 48V/5A power supply as opposed to the 32V supply. Every report/review I've read of the amps using the TPA3255 chip amps indicates that they are simply better with 48V power supplies.
Considering that Fosi now sells a 48V/5A supply for less than $60, you're making all of this very difficult for a <$100 amp.
To simplify, if you intend to use in with bookshelf speakers or near field, get a 32V power supply. If you intend to drive floor standers or listen in a large room, get the 48V supply. If you can afford the larger power supply, get it. It cannot hurt to have the extra power on tap unless your amplifier runs into heat dissipation problems, in which case, the Fosi V3 is properly vented and heat-sinked and has been shown in testing to be able to use the 48V/5A power without a hitch.
