Bi-amping KEF 107/2s with KUBE 200?

Has anyone ever tried bi-amping KEF 107/2 speakers with a kube 200? I know they are not a specified match, but with it being near impossible to find a 107/2 kube I'm interested in giving it a shot. Cheers and thanks for the advice.

Well they LOOK pretty identical to me, especially on the back. I'm a novice and don't want to overly handcuff the 107/2s by using a different unit, or cause any damage. I suppose I can listen to them as-is, non bi-amped, and then with the 200 and hear/see what if any difference there is?!
 
I’ve used an older (pre/2) KUBE on my R107/2s as an experiment, and it worked fine, though I think the correct KUBE sounded a little cleaner. When I bought the R107/2s new, I auditioned the older model as the dealer had a demo one on sale. I liked the /2 better at the time, as I recall, it was the same slightly improved highs & clarity that pushed me to order the newer model. The difference is small however, if I hadn’t compared them side by side, I’d have happily taken the older version.
 
This is an old thread, I know. But the question was interesting since until recently I couldn't have answered about KUBE 200 and 107/2 interchangeability. I spent months chasing data to come to a definite conclusion that can't be disputed. Just look at the graph I made, comparing three major KUBEs : 104/2, 107/2 and 200. You will quickly realize they are all different beasts, with different spcificities and with limited interchangeability. They not only alter bass, but do it on three different ranges for three different speakers with three different characteristics. I would NOT use a KUBE 200 on a 107/2 as you would be boosting bass perhaps 10Hz too high, making bass boomier than needed. Out of the box, the 107 and 107/2 sound damn good and they don't need more bass, just cleaner and deeper to get that physical feel. While the 104/2 may need more bass and deeper, and on a different range. The KUBE 104/2 is specific to the 104/2 speakers. The 200 is more generic and can be used on a 104/2 with satisfactory results while it was also offered for the 103/4 and 105/3.

The models are designed specifically for the complicated crossover networks. While manufacturing a power supply for my 107/2, I made contact with the guy that designed them for KEF. I’ve not messed with bi-amping or bi-wiring. I think the results would not be very audible. You can find the Kube. Be patient and vigilant.
 
I have tested a KUBE 200 on my 107/2s and didn't like it at all since the correction curve removes some crucial content in the upper bass/low midrange. What works great for a 105/3, doesn't work on the 107/2. And I did the test with twp Kube 200. One with Issue 1 PCB and the other with Issue 2. Both having silghtly different correction curves on the high frequency range.
