Bi-amping speakers with sub out+amp?

I've never seen an AVR with a sub crossover frequency that high (highest I've seen is 150hz). It also raises the issue of having two crossovers (internal and AVR) adding their effects together. Since most AVRs don't allow you to select the high and low pass frequencies separately, there will be a gap around the crossover frequency where levels are significantly reduced because you have both filters being applied at the same frequency.
