BIC Venturi's

Others may quibble, but BICs are nothing to write home about. Not your typical Brit speaker by any means. $75 is too much.

I had a pair back in the 70's. Great for rock and roll. They were big on bass and are quite efficient. With a smaller amplifier you can get loud music from them. They can take a beating also....

Hmm

They look to be in pretty nice condition. IF you like how they sound, you could do much worse for 75.00. Built quality isn't bad. I parted a a set of the next size up so have a pair of those tweeter/mids. The woofer on the model 6 had a co-axial mounted mid.

If they were local pick-up to me, I'd be very tempted to pick them up.

Don't know that speaker, but it sure looks nice. I agree if it sounds nice and is local pickup I would try to swing a deal on those. BTW the surround on those woofers look like they would last way longer than many foam ones.

The cabs are nice looking. Looks like they have just had a coat of oil or poly. They look good with or without the grill covers.

Just unloaded a pair of the Formula 6 II's. They had the same horn tweeters as those - just a different woofer with a mid mounted in front of it. I was not impressed with the set I had. However, you could always go check them out and hear them for yourself.

Ah yes, the old BIC Vomituri series. I've always wanted to hear those speakers.

my first speakers with my first system, a pioneer sx-737 and an eight track...they were fine for a 16 year old kid...

All ... sounds like a major league "pass" on the BIC's. I had never heard of them

mhardy6647 ... If you get to the Westcoast, come take it for a spin...

cheers
