Big Polks on Orlando CL

Register to hide this ad
I'll buy those if anyone can haul them to MA.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm rather broke.

Orlando is not big on vintage so they may still be around. There are also some Altec 19s for $1250 on there somewhere.

These aren't too vintage, they sold them well into the '90s. It's quite a system. Just the thing for a small floor space like mine.

I've always wanted a pair of the big Polks, but I'm hoarding my pennies for some dream speakers that are almost within reach and I can't afford both. I sure hope a fellow AKer lands these and invites us for a listen sometime .

Those are the real deal! I think they weigh 140lbs apiece. Brad

185lbs each, actually. I'm a Polk SDA fan...have 3 sets of them. For my ears and tastes, they blew away the Altec Valencias that I sold. YMMV.

If I were closer, I'd get 'em.

Gat A Response:

Hi,

Since there was such an overwhelming response for the Polk Audio SDA SRS speakers. I decided to put them up on Ebay to make things fair, and give everyone a chance.

Those are listed in the Tampa Bay CL also.

That listing is probably bogus. Here's what I sent to it:

I'm using this address, as I am concerned about this listing being real. If it is, you already responded to me stating that you are going to put them on Ebay. If you are still selling them for $800.00 please respond and I will buy them. If you are 'phishing' for email address's, enjoy, this one is just for you.

Not cool at all :thumbsdn:. Everyone HAD a chance to call him first, and the first caller should get the goods if a deal can be struck.
