Binge watching music documentaries this weekend.

Last night-

The Wrecking Crew
The Other One-
Documentary about Grateful Dead's Bob Weir

Tonight-
Amy- Amy Winehouse Documentary
History of the Eagles Parts 1 & 2- In memory of Glen Frey

Rented Amy on Apple TV everything else from NetFlix. Enjoyed them all and my wife watched all but the Bob Weir documentary with me. Do yourself a favor and see them if you already haven't.

Plus 2 on the above. Check out Muscle Shoals, Big Star, (I think that's the title), and Greenwich Village, (a great doc on folk music with lots of clips). Netflix

I watched "John Denver: Country Boy" on Netflix yesterday. I'm not that big of a fan but the documentary was well done. Also noteworthy is "Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me" , which lovingly documents his extended farewell tour as he struggles with Alzheimer's. I'm looking forward to "Carole King: Natural Women", which will air on PBS Friday evening.

... Big Star, (I think that's the title)

The full title is "Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me". Another worthwhile film is "Rocking The Boat", on Delbert McClinton.

If you're into cajun/zydeco, an excellent film is "J'ai ete au bal" (I went to the dance). A little hard to find, but worth it.

Happy trails,
Larry B.

Ditto on the Beware Mr. Baker

I watched the two part documentary by Scorsese about George Harrison : Living in the Material World. I believe it was on HBO NOW via the Apple TV.
P.S.
It was FAB!

Sound City Real to Reel is a good documentary. Dave Grohl rescues a legendary analog sound board from Sound City studios and makes an album with friends in his basement.

Amy is great.

I thought the Lemmy biography movie was pretty good too.

"Anvil: The Story of Anvil" is also great.

I'd like to see the 2015 documentary about Jaco Pastorius:

I just watched Keith Richards, "Under the Influence". Pretty good, and not a "Stones" bio.
