Blue glow

I've seen the threads, and the pics. Is it normal? Is it a sign the tubes may be going bad?

I sit and listen a lot with the lights out but have never seen the blue glow, until late last night.

This is on my PrimaLuna 5 with KT88's.

For the record, it's Bremsstrahlung radiation. :tongue: Not nearly as dangerous, but still cool. :thmbsp:

Yeah but you have to put more quarters in the back of the amp first.....light shows are extra.

It's really cool in a guitar amp with bias modulated tremelo. The blue glow pulses quite seductively, and it really responds to aggressive pick attack on the guitar.

We used to drink in Northern WI in a place called the blue light. Swamp gas. I never saw it until last night.
