Really love this band. I can highly recommend any of their albums up to "Revolution By Night". I especially like the first four LP's. I find the songs co-written with Michael Moorcock (The Great Sun Jester and Black Blade) to be among the highlights of their later (late/post 70's) work. I was listening to Spectres tonight, especially "I Love The Night" and "Nosferatu" and thinking how much I still really like the sound of these songs. I think BOC's music has aged pretty well. Amazingly, they still tour! They were a great live act back in the day.

BOC has been on my "look for" vinyl list for a while. Thanks for the advice. PAS-2 here as well - awaiting freshing and mods as required to beat the Jvc "

I love program material that stresses the equipment, and this seems adequate.

I have mixed feelings. I feel like they put out some so-so material, but some of their stuff is pretty damned good. Love the first album. Especially "Then Came the Last Days of May."
 
well, jim, you obviously caught them on a bad day, they played where I worked year before last, helluva show,
and 131east,,you pretty much named off my favorites too,
I just downloaded the discography the other day
 
I've always thought Eric Bloom had one of the greatest voices in hard/classic rock. Very distinctive.
 
Those first couple lps are quite good. They always have a sense of humor that is missing in most hard rock.

She's as Beautiful as a Foot, The Red And The Black and This Aint The Summer of Love are big favorites.

I spent the majority of 2003 listening to nothing but BOC and Harry Partch.

Blue Oyster Cult has always been one of my favorite bands. Don't Fear The Reaper is one of my favorites. I put it in rotation around Halloween.
 
Big fan here! I have all of their vinyl plus all of their CDs. Even their newer stuff rocks - still sounds like BOC!
 
BOC LPs

A buddy recently gave me his/mom's old LP collection. There were 10 different BOC albums. I now have a few doubles. All of them in VG condition. :thmbsp:
 
BOC was the first band I bought a second album of, must have been about 1979 and I still have them both (Agents of Fortune and Some Enchanted Evening) plus everything through Fire of an Unknown Origin. My girlfriend got back from Pheonix on Tuesday and that night we sipped bourbon and listened to Agents of Fortune. I think they will always be a band I will listen to.
