Bob Welch R.I.P.

Absolutely a toast to Bob Welch. French Kiss is one of my all-time favorites. Great vocals, great player. So sad.:sigh:

at a loss for words..
Bob made some great music, with Fleetwood Mac & solo
Sad sad sad
thanks for the tunes Bob
Hope you find peace in the afterlife

Very sad news to hear indeed. Think I'll spin French Kiss a spin too!

Just picked up a another very good copy earlier today as a matter of fact.....

Barney

Bummer indeed. Interesting cat. Been listening to him most of my life and he was a big influence on my playing. His web site has always been interesting too, hope it stays up. Judy Wong, Bob Weston and Bob Welch may you all rest in peace. And Mr. Welch, if you can now solve all of the mysteries you wrote about, send me a sign? Many thanks.

He was involved in some real masterpieces. Bare Trees is just a beautiful album... It's hard not to be sentimental when your rock hero's, who aren't really all that much older than you start passing away.

G'day mate, beautiful stuff. A fine blog too. :thmbsp: Regards, Felix aka catman.

:tears:Damn:tears:

RIP Bob. May you find the acceptance and success in the next life that eluded you in this one.

And that blog is a nice synopsis of FM history.

He had a history of health problems. Here's hoping his suicide wasn't entirely emotional, physical pain and suffering are legitimate reasons for self-euthanasia sometimes IMO. Time will tell, and the news of why it happened will come out. There was a suicide note, hopefully its contents will eventually be revealed with a reason for this tragic suicide. I'm deeply grieved.

i love all the fleetwood mac guitarists but he was my favorite, I will never forget the first time I heard Hypnotized on the radio waaayyy back in 1973. RIP Bob Wech!

Very sad, indeed. Sleep well, Mr. Welch. You kept us "Hypnotized" by the "Sentimental Lady" with the "Ebony Eyes."

Saw this on NBC news last night. RIP Bob.

I've seen Fleetwod Mac numerous times, I think the BW era was the best. Also like his solo work.

French Kiss and Three Hearts will be playing today.
