Bookshelf Speaker Stands Necessary?

Let us know what it sounds like with and without the Iso-pucks ..
Hockey pucks would probably achieve the same end ..

Decoupling from that large resonant stand top and isolating your gear from speaker vibrations should result in a bit more clarity, and maybe the absence of some of the lower mid freq. resonances that the credenza is creating as a result of the speaker boxes vibrating the credenza ..
Ideally the speakers shouldn't be sitting on a table that holds your gear ... Vibration affects not only the turntable, but potentially, the output of the electronics too.

You can't stop or erase the vibrations that the speaker's are creating...

Iso-pucks, hockey pucks or anything else will simply change the frequency of the vibrations .. the vibrations have to dissipate.
That's why taking the speakers off the credenza is the best case solution ..

Personally, I would opt for a shorter credenza and speakers on spiked stands that are beside it ..
That credenza is making noises that muddy up your music ..
It's a big hollow box that's being vibrated and so is a guitar .. but guitar's can be tuned ..

A bit clearer and cleaner is where you should land ..
Cumulative tweaks can make a big difference in the end ..

We just got the credenza a month ago and in his sight I wish I found a nice looking rack wide enough for two amps and a shelf underneath for a more components. Seemed difficult to find one that I liked the look of .

Excited for these pucks tho! They look pretty cool and I’ve been reading great reviews!

Not that I don't get it ..
Acoustics v.s. WAF ...

Separate black metal stands definitely suffer the consequences ..
They may be ugly but they sound better ..

Curious what you guys think about whether or not my set up would benefit from some short speaker stands. I have Kef Q350’s sitting on a very sturdy credenza. I also have a small space so very little/no room for tall stands on the side of the credenza. Curious if short desktop stands would enhance the sound or should I keep it as is? I do realize the speakers being close to the wall isn’t ideal but apartment living is what it is

If you listen to the speakers from various distances, angles and elevations, does the sound change quickly at low angles off-axis or not? If it does not, then stands may not be required. If the sound does change significantly with listening positions, then see how far off-axis you will accept, and place the speakers at a height and direction that will satisfy the most of the listening area. Then look for stands that fit your needs in that room. Tilting the speakers upward may also achieve this without a stand. Just be aware that stands introduce its own variables, such as subtle rocking forward/back movements vs. on-the-table installation, which can be significantly different than a rigid installation.
