Bozaks?

Can one tell by the serial # when Bozaks were manufactured? I am looking at E02230 for an Urban B303A.

Not by serial, no.
But 99.8% of the time Bozak stamped date codes in silver ink on the drivers magnet. Is there a 3 or 4 digit number on the backs of the drivers or cabinet? 7010, or 769? The first would be, Oct. 1970, the second would be Sept. 1976.

I am operating from a picture, there's a code under the serial # which is 661, June 1961? If so, would that mean paper tweets?

Can't be 1966. Those are ceramic magnets. The switch was in '71, I think. Might have been 70.

I should say that those *look* like ceramic magnets, unless the perspective is skewed. Can you get a closer picture of the magnets?

Sam I think you are correct, that Deep Souths set are probably from the 70s. I can see that there are date codes on his drivers in his picture but when I blow them up, they're too fuzzy to read.

I believe Tom in RI, is referring to a completely different set dated Jan 1966, than those referred to in the OP.

Ahhh, that would make sense. From the Bozak drivers I've seen, 661 would indeed be January 1966 - definitely aluminum cones and Alnico magnets.
