Brand new to vinyl, would appreciate input on my system setup

I'm so new to vinyl that I don't even have a turntable yet, haha. That's because I'm waiting for the Rega Planar 3 2016. I haven't bought any components yet, but I have a system setup in mind, but wanted to run it by the community to see if I was over spending / under spending in any particular area.

Rega Planar 3 2016
TT-PSU (most likely, as I have a number of 7" records already)
RB330 Tone arm
Ortofon 2M bronze or black (?)
Musical Surroundings Phenomena II+ Phono preamp
TASCAM DA-3000 AD Converter

The main thing I'm not sure about is the cartridge. As in, whether to go with either the bronze or black, or to go with an MC cartridge.

This will literally be my first record player ever (other than maybe a fisher price record player when i was a kid...haha)

After you have decided on the cartridge, have the technician install and set it up for you (for best performance). :)
 
My suggestion is if you go the Phonomena II+ route get a MC cartridge. For the price (or a bit less) of the 2M Bronze you can get an AT OC9ML/II that will knock your socks off with the Phonomena II+.
Although a great phono stage for MM carts, with MC carts it takes you much higher.

Truthfully on the cart, you should check out what the frequency range is. A better low to higher range of frequencies gives you a fuller sound. Understanding your system and how the peices contribute to better sound. This is not a user friendly form of recreation, it's a hobby. A very rewarding hobby if you enjoy relaxing to music.
 
If you're spending the money, get an Ortofon Quintet series MC cartridge instead of the 2M. In all of my years with turntables I never had an MC before last year. Now I'll never go back, except to maybe my Grace F9E.
