Building my own Interconnects and Speaker Cables - just checking....

You guys may laugh, but I have been severing vacuum cords, old power cords, dryer cords, you name it. I plan on trying a slew of different options, see if I can ascertain a difference.

I get a chuckle every time I see this line in Retroverts posts:

I've tried low voltage landscape wire.

Well, you should have gone with irrigation timer cable instead. I've been running it to my Bozaks for a couple of years now. Just yesterday, Sarge, the Spousal Unit, asked what the wires were on the floor behind the speakers; the old wires, silly. Maybe one day, I'll hook them back up again. For now, irrigation timer wire.

Timer cable is similar to CAT5 cable (maybe a gauge or two larger), which is what I use on my systems. I love it!

But for vintage shouldn't you use a cloth covered iron cord?

I have actually seen that stuff reproduced and it is not cheap!
