Buy a New Cartridge or New Stylus for Existing? Help!!

I've been torturing myself trying to figure out what to do.... Should I buy an ATN120E for my AT Signet TK5Ea or just sell the Signet and put money toward a new cartridge? Total budget for a new stylus is around $100 and I have no idea what I could get for the Signet without a good stylus.

The better performance stylus would be the LC - line contact stylus or higher.

The basic would be an elliptical stylus.

Check on Ebay for sale in that price range.

Since the styli are hard to get and costly, I wouldn't think a Signet body is worth a whole lot. There was a TK9 with missing stylus on an old Rega I wound up with once. Ditched the Rega but kept the TK9. When I learned a replacement stylus was $300 (which was never going to happen), I traded the TK9 body for a pair of original Epicure tweeters. I figure the tweeters were worth maybe fifty bucks?

The TK5EA should work with currently in production AT styli. I have a TK3EA and it does.

The Signets with the older style, no longer in production wide/fat squarish body are the ones that are hard to find styli for. The Signet bodies made of aluminum that look nearly identical to current AT bodies you can find styli for all day. You just buy a new AT stylus and pop it in.
