A friend has/had a pair of high impedance speakers that played well with OTL. I've always wanted to try a pair of those Zero Autoformers; I hear they have the possibility of procuring a better speaker/amp match for more than just OTLs!

I would think that if I were running OTL I'd want the highest impedance speaker I could get my hands on.
 
It's a decent sounding amp . . . although one of the channels has a bit of transient distortion.

IMHO, Bruce Rozenblitz over-touted the sonics of his design. It's a nice concept amp, and does a good job for an OTL, but it's but not worth all of the time, expense, and trouble. My (modified) Dyna ST-70 stomps it, hands down.

But what I know is from screwing around with Atmosphere M-60's .. Just remember they lacked with 4-8 ohm speakers and really sprang to life when I implemented the auto transformer.

I think we used the Paul Speltz Zero Boxes which someone loaned us. But it was a while ago and just screwing around at a show with some friends speakers.

The difference was like going from Black Plastic Crap and upset to OMFG is this really that much of a difference.

I am not much of a OTL kainda pig. They have always intruiged me, back to the Futtermans that NYAL always talked up.

But if you add a pair of autoformers, aren't we basically inserting a small pair of output transformers in the signal path? Aren't we just back to more of a traditional tube amp? forgive my ignorance as I am just a simple pig, but it seems like speakers optimized to work with OTL is the preferred solution.

But feel free to educate this country pig.
