c.1963 console with Thorens TD 124 and Eico HF-60s

I just purchased this console with a Thorens TD 124, Grado wood arm (and another metal tonearm as yet undetermined), powered by a pair of Eico HF 60s, and an Eico preamp HF 85. Also comes with a pair of Eico speakers, HFS 2. I think it has the potential to be an amazing sounding system and I am sure it will need serious cleaning, maybe repairs and upgrading to bring it to glory! Any ideas for someone who could work on the Eico amps in the SoCal area? Thanks. Here are some pics.Thorens Eico 1.jpgThorens Eico 2.jpgThorens Eico 3.jpg

Wow. Gorgeous! That will sound great when it's restored properly.

A quick Google search resulted in several that claim to do vintage audio repair in the L.A. area. Forum members who live in the area will probably chime in soon.

I really prefer to hear from other members and their experiences with restoration rather than choosing someone from a Google search. Thanks!

Amazing acquisition! There is a separate Eico place here in AK too. As you'll be aware, restoration of the TD124 is also a great adventure.

Tom ISHMOTO out in SIMI Valley Does Excellent work. As does Fred Longworth in San Diego. Fred is an AK member and his shop address is www.repairaudio.com

Someone will chime in with Tom's info.

I would be happy to restore your new find. I'm located in Hawthorne and have been doing repairs and restorations to audio, radio and test equipment since the 60's. If I can help you . please let me know.

Thanks a lot. I'm really excited about this find. I have worked withTom Ishimoto in the past and he is amazing. I am not aware of his experience with older amps like this but probably just as good as with the Marantz 1300DC he recapped for me!

Not only great gear, thaaaaat console!

You can just feel the pride someone had in that system. Two tone arms. Is that to have a choice two types of cartridges? Love to hear those speakers.
