can anyone provide me with the schematic of the mode switch section in the C-26 preamp? PM/email/snailmail. Ill even pay for it, a little.

Sure ol'guy.. it should be in here: C26 Service Manual (703K)
Funny thing.. I was inside the C26 earlier this morning. Was going to make a post entitled "C26 Gets Screwed" which means dozen of screws were replaced... many other small fixes and restores while in there. Looking at the caps list now.

Yeah.. I've owned a C26 since 1976 or 77 (first Mc) and brought it to a McIntosh Clinic in 1978, with data sheet and Mc folder to verify. At rated output of 2.5 volts the THD was 0.03% both channels at 20 Hz and 1000 Hz, on up to 0.036% at 20 kHz with both L & R traces virtually atop each other. Hopefully can post some photos of the chasis work from Saturday.
