@ Slewfoot: Every time you add another connection in the signal-chain regardless of what others claim who happen to own a switcher box therefore will defend the unit and claim the opposite, sound quality will be affected. Now, if the system in question allows one to hear the difference or not, that would be subjective and that not all have a system that does resolve fully or have the experience, knowledge or ears that would determine what one hears or doesn't is another open question. This unit in question AFAIK does not allow spade connectors so, that may be a problem if you use spades. And, I believe its power handling ability may be limited also. Do more thorough research before taking the plunge.
Do more research and take it from there. In my long time experience, if one is using high-power, heavier gauge speaker wire and spades go hand in hand while leaving such switch boxes out of any consideration.
You mentioned 'Audio Classics' in your post, I would also ask one or two people there also.
