I know you probably aren't used to checking out the Events & Happenings forum so I'll give you a hand. I am planning to have a get-together at my house on the 31st of this month. Some may be getting over a trip to AK Fest but should be plenty of you out there to make this happen.

Damage has assured me the Carver Amazings and his two pair of Yamaha speakers will be in attendance. We can break out a couple of pair I have for comparison and any of you are free to bring along speakers and/or gear.

I hope its somewhere close to me ... I hate driving Loooong distances ... the only thing is down here ..everywhere is a long distance ...hell I have to drive 30+ miles to work everyday... but ..I'm happy to be working!...


I will look it up on Google Earth...and see if its in my drive range.,... Crossing my fingers!..
 
Ok ...I just looked it up ...not too bad ...only a five hour drive .... Have to do a stay over ... or a mass drinking party!!...then a stay over...hehehe...:thmbsp:

My Ma, who lives here in the condo building, has family with her S O in Canyon Lake ... never been there ...but someday ...then I can stop in at Luthers to do some tune spinning too...If I am going up that-a-way ...might as well mane the rounds!....

I'm up in Killeen and I'd like to come but I hate running through that dense traffic gauntlet known as Austin.
 
After looking at the pictures from last year ... you guys probly wouldnt be remotly interested in hearing how I make the worlds best sounding MP3s anyway....... :sigh:

I don't know - went to a Lone Star Bottlehead meeting in Round Rock in the fall and we listened to Luther's iPod and used a laptop for a server for a lot of tunes.

Beautiful time of year to spend a weekend at Canyon Lake and it's not that far to Buda or SA.

Edit: I understand that drive - my brother has lived in Alice for about 25 years.
 
now that I think about it ...its two hours to SA... then another 45 munits to San Marcos...so your probly 3 hours north... thats getting a little closer!...

We have the toll roads now that will take you to Mopac pretty dang quickly. It's not too far from there. Saturdays on IH-35 aren't bad except right at downtown.

Believe me, it'll be worth the trip!
 
Hey, CharlieX, if you don't want to drive through Austin traffic stop by my place in Round Rock and ride with me. I have a tag to drive the new toll roads.

Anyone interested in hearing my recently rebuilt Sony TA77-ESD preamp? How about a Yamaha CR-1020?

Thanks for the offer-I'll consider it. I didn't even think of the new toll roads around the city.

Bring both. I am bringing my SONY ES stuff. And I am bringing several receivers instead of speakers this year.
 
I am right down the road maybe an hour away. I would be interested.

I'm coming. I'm bringing my "portable" party system: a T-Amp and an iPod... and the Frazier black box "Aliens"... heh,heh.

I'm trying to get my son-in-law to come with me, and to bring his Heresy Industrial Porteds... the speakers the Heresy should have been.

I may even bring 130 lbs of horned-up semi-kabuki.

Shouldn't we work in a trip to Garcia's for lunch?
