Camber curiousities...

First time posting, thanks for having me!

Chasing some info on these, have done a reasonable amount of googling with no specific answer so far. I'm trying to figure out exactly what model these Camber's are (see photos). I wish they still had their original stickers!

Found them at my local Value Village for $20, and couldn't leave them there, even if they are in rough shape and are going to be a labour of love...
Cabinets feel ridiculously solid, the baffling/insulation looks in mint condition, and the woofers seem solid albeit one missing a dust cap. They are missing the Audax HD12x9 tweeters unfortunately (which is probably how they ended up there in the first place as they're expensive pieces but oh well...)
I think they are 1.5's(?) but I have yet been able to find a definitive answer so will definitely appreciate any insight!
Also wasn't able to find many pictures of the internals of these things so I added them here for interests sake.

Took the woofer out to get any additional clues and it just has 'Feb 23 1984' stamped on the back, front rubber insulators have SR155/3 embossed on them. Woofer paper approx 5" in diameter, 6.5" screw edge to screw edge.
Cabinet is 24" tall, 9.5" wide, 11" deep.

Hopefully someone will recognize them. If the woofers are good, various new dust caps can be found. Maybe not exactly like the original, but that voice coil should probably be covered up at some point.
You can probably find a nice soft dome tweeter to fit it from Parts Express.
They have a lot to choose from in various price ranges. The capacitor in the crossover will let you know the crossover frequency with a little math help, or from someone here. Knowing the ohms rating of the woofer will help too. Its a good size cabinet for that size woofer.

Rega Camber 2.5's

I just recently found a pair of Rega Camber 2.5's on local CL. I did a little research before purchasing and found out these were Canadian made for a relativley short time. They seem to have been given good reviews so I bought them. They are a larger bookshelf 2 way with a 6.5 poly woofer...

Dust cap is definitely on my list of things to fix, been researching glues and finding mixed opinions. Regular PVA/Wood glue seems to be what most use?

The tweeter thing is a whole different ball game... I found the replacement versions from Audax but they aren't quite the same which sent me down this rabbit hole thread: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index...-d25-tweeter-replacement.962806/post-14893570
Seems as though they affect the overall sound of these speakers quite heavily so I'll definitely be hunting vintage as I don't relish the prospect of having to to all the extra soldering lol

@ tunflog: already been all over that thread, but thank you! I think these could be 2.5's too but was hoping to get more evidence to suggest it as it's quite vague of a history.

Fabri-Tac is great for things like dust caps too. I use it a lot for various things. It does react to some plastics kind of like model airplane glue.
I used it to attach grill cloth to a couple sets of speaker grills I made for speakers that came without any. It worked great and dried really fast.

You did a fantastic job on that! I ended up using e6000 but it's still setting so I'm not sure how well it's worked yet.

Small progress update photos below!
Managed to get some vintage Audax H25 tweeters which sound amazing. These things are phenomenal for what they are and it's super satisfying to have them coming back to life!

After removing the old speaker grill cloth I found the grills are seemingly from 2 different generations of them? Either that or someone did something weird in the factory...

Also got some lightweight linen coloured polyester from the local fabric store, the refinishing of them has begun but oh my god I am not cut out to be an upholsterer... I think the colour goes well though all said and done. Photo below is just taped in place, the corners are a nightmare... original grill was stretched over the corners and didn't make for a very good pattern so I'm just going to have to hide my working with glue lol

Dust cap glued back in but I actually got one size too small by accident. It's not touching the voice coil and and made sure to be light with my gluing so I'm hoping it will be fine.

I like the lighter color. Once I get time to replace the cloth on my Boston Acoustic A100's I have I was thinking a lighter colored cloth as well, or burnt orange?
