Can anyone here admit they like doof-doof music?

Hey wait, I have a 14-year old Accord 4dr! Oh, but it still looks like a normal car...with the stock stereo system (cassette!). Matter of fact, both of our cars still have cassette decks. Anyway, as far as Wornears' chart matching the era to the response, what would the 70's & 80's bring? I know the 60's bled over to the 70's (and the 80's in my case) but all I remember being said in the 80's was along the lines of, "If you keep watching that MTV all the time, I swear I'll have it disconnected!" or to my brother, "Could you give the video games a rest already?" Seems to me the problem became the damn TV in general. The music was pretty tame for the most part. Now you can't shock anyone unless you change gender or ethnic affiliation...I thought the first rap stuff was OK until the whole "gangsta" trip started and pretty much killed off any mutual understanding that was beginning to take place. I still have a 12" of "Bust A Move" around here somewhere....and I think the trunk lid in the Dart I had at the time rattled all by itself with the radio OFF (Sparkomatic, baby!).
Sorry for the rant

I eat these guys for breakfast in my Mustang, with there BBIIGG wings and woof, woofs. Considering That I look like an old man [I am] complete with a grey beard, there expressions are pricless. end of rant. Vrooom.............

What I find hilarious about those wings is that they are almost invariably on the rear of a front wheel drive car...:scratch2:

Yeah, down here I've seen some of the idiot doof-doofers jack up the ass end of the car & stick slicks on it..."I'm so stupid, I'm oh-so stupid...Tra la-la-lal-la-la-laaa..."

On a ricer? Ooooh that would be a picture worth seeing.
The wings always crack me up, as if EVEN if it was RWD those cars will even go fast enough to get the proper flow over the wing to get ANY downforce.
don't even get me started on the ricers that sound like they run cut outs..I have been tempted several times to install an electronic cut out on my LT1 just to blow the doof, doof off the map at stoplights..I think I could probably get away with it up here in Mt.

doof doof

There's a kid here in town who has the ultimate noise machine, a small 4WD truck, with a 4 Cylinder engine running 1-1/2" straight pipe exhaust (no cat, no muffler) split into two tubes somewhere ahead of the differential and terminated into 3" megs sticking out about 10" past the step bumper - Sounds like a scale model logging truck! He loves sitting a a red-light, revving the POS up and getting a nice loud back-fire.

Not to mention that he's running a twin whip antenna, CB setup that the FCC should really be able to hear all the way from DC. It's so powerful that one of the tricks he pulls is rolling past the local AM station tower, keying his hand-set and singing a few bars of George Jones "White Lightning" or some other appropriately drunken country song. It would be kind of funny, if it weren't so dang irritating.

He'll think "funny" when Uncle Charlie catches up w/him, & confiscates the doof-doof truck, & slaps him w/an $8K fine..just desserts, if you ask me...I had a Doofermobile about 25 yrs ago...an '82 Suburban w/a Blaupunkt Berlin, & 4 Jensen Tri-axials...it was about 100 watts a channel, I'd ride thru Kiddieland, where the idiots hung out, they'd be playin' hip-hop, early rap, etc...I'd put in "Ride of the Valkyries", & crank it...that wasn't too long after "Apocalypse Now"..Too bad I didn't have M-60s on the Urbanizer...Hehehehehehe..
