Can anyone ID this stuff?

Miscellaneous family photo - Taken either in 1969 or 1970.
Pieces are no longer around, but my wife wanted to know what her family once owned.

Anyone recognize the turntable, receiver, and speakers?

[ryuuoh]

Don't know what brands/models those are, but they look pretty nice. I think my parents had an end table like that one too.

The turntable/changer was made by VM, the receiver looks similar to a VM model 532.

Pardon me, but what is VM short for? (That's a new one to me.)
* Self-edit -- Is that short for Voice Of Music?

[orthophonic]

Yes VM is The Voice of Music of Benton Harbor, Michigan. They were the largest manufacturer of record Changers and tape decks in the world up until the late
60's.
Check out thevoiceofmusic.com for their history and products and such.

Yup, definately a Voice of Music changer. Who knows, the receiver may be as well!

Resurrecting my own thread...
Spoke to one of my wife's family members this weekend and they said it probably came from Muntz Stereo in the San Fernando Valley (which is where they lived at the time).

Anyone familiar with Muntz gear and able to provide further insight?

Looks like a Newton's Cradle on top of that speaker....cool!

Muntz sold gear and had some made but if it was Muntz, it may have just been rebranded.
