Well,

The EL34's say Precision Electronics .. So Grommes fits the bill.

Thanks for the input

If it helps the Output Transformer is marked T0-110, 1052 6233 and the Power Transformer reads TP-19L, 883209.

Thanks again

The poor thing. It needs some TLC. I'd baby it to death.

Don't know what name it was marketed under, but it is definitely yet another variation of the Grommes model 20-LJ. Slide switches have replaced the original selector switch, individual tone controls have replaced the ganged ones, and 6EU7s have replaced the original 12AX7s, but otherwise, the circuit is likely identical -- not just close, but identical. The 20-LJ was billed as a stereo version of the famous Grommes Little Jewel amplifier. Both are very nice little amplifiers.

I don't know if you are still curious about this amp, but it looks almost exactly like a Lincoln L24 amplifier that I just got a week ago.

I wonder if these were mass produced by someone like Wells-Gardner or one of the other mysterious OEM that made things for Sears, Western Auto, and assorted other department stores. It doesn't look awful, certainly comparable transformer size-wise to a lot of console amps of the era. Unless they're completely awfully made it should perform as well as a console stereo amp.

HK did make an A-500, but that definitely is not an HK A-500.

Speaker wire attached is fuzzing strands over to adjacent screw terminals, hope it wasn't run like that for long. Yeow!:yikes:
