Can center be too low ? Your preference?

It’s a lcr like set up . Can not bring a mono surround to back because coat tree .
I could not find a better spot for center unless I put it we’re the front speakers are but that could be odd? And it wouldn’t be in center .

Mounting is is probably less practical then adding another speaker stand and using center standing upright . Like my fronts haha .
But it’s may not work in a different spot .
Center may be stuck here these Speakers sound good for shelf system speakers I got a rca sub too .
I’d need a way better receiver to run phantom. Or 2 ch
These thick thick speaker grilled color the sound I think . But too fragile not to leave on !
Far cry from cinema sound.
This sport too low ?

My preference is that the center speaker should be lower then your left/right main speakers tweeter/high frequency driver and or around mid chest level when seated.

You are a true Audiophile! Always making the most of what you have. Keep it up. Knowledge is the key. Equipment will come and go but your knowledge will always be there for you.
 
I guess ideally for localization, the sound comes through the screen like in a theater. But we mostly have direct viewing displays, so the center speaker should be centered and as close to the bottom or top of the screen as feasible. Tilting the center up to aim toward you will help the sound get better if your center speaker does not have enough lateral dispersion of the sound. It won't help localizing the sound to appear on-screen, as much as moving the center speaker close to the bottom of the screen. Good thing that displays today are no longer sensitive to the magnets in the speakers.

One concern I have about the center speaker in your photo. There are larger two drivers oriented horizontally, with what looks like a silver circular vent with two vanes in it. If this is a bass unit and the silver ring is a vent, then that would not matter much. But if one of the drivers is a bass and the other is a mid-range, you'd get interference effects of the two drivers at the crossover range, which may color your sound there.

Currently I don't use a center speaker. I too have a problem locating a center speaker - no room below the screen. The dialog comes out of the left and the right speakers, and it works fine for me.

That's what I was thinking, move that device under your tv to where your center channel is and swap places, if there is not enough clearance find a way to bring the tv up higher. Hockey pucks, books or whatever should work.

I think bottom woofer is more for more lower bass top one is more midrange. The middle circular thing is a tweeter looks aluminum with paper cone .

Do not sound too bad flipped this way .
They were not designed for this .

Ultumax, try the center speaker oriented vertically and see if you like that or not. It should reduce the interference between the two bigger drivers, at least in the horizontal direction. Right now, the two drivers interact between left and right ears when oriented horizontally when you shift your position horizontally.

ID have to build one of those wooden risers you know the one you set center speaker inside of. You ever made one before ?
If I were to set it horizontally I’d just have 3 front speakers essentially ? Or no
 
Note: title should read TOO low, as 2 o's are used to put emphasis on a subject.
I put it as close to the screen as possible.

Just put the TV on the horizontal speaker! No custom riser needed! Just do it!

It looks like it should balance on top just fine. It's okay if tv base is a little bigger than the speaker. If it makes you feel better place a piece of wood on top of speaker that is closer in size to the tv base.

This is exactly what I did in my bedroom. The TV is sitting on a cut down shelf that's on top of the center speaker.
