Can I get some advice on my first and current set up ever

Might be hindering ventilation for the receiver and if you decide to ROCK ON some time you may get feedback issues from the speakers.

So I will definitely be drawing up a better set up with all your comments in mind and put it to work .

So I haven't played anything past 1/4 volume .
As far as sound to me it has a super warm yet clear sound I am vary impressed with how well things where built back then.
Definitely going to play around with placement and get a better stand for the set up so not to stack on each other. Thanks for the input much appreciated .

I dont know much as my ears have only heard music not coming from an amp and speaker but from bluetooth speaks and headphone jack to speakers kind of set up .
so to say it dosent sound amazing to my ears right now would be an absolute lie.
Love the warmth.
I suppose it's like chasing the dragon per say
When searching for that perfect setup to achieve that sound you are looking for.

It sounds great for what I'm into right now is not necessarily cranking tunes but more on the musical sounding side of things.
But the B&O is great super easy to use and
I just pulled a record that was really warped like super wavy and it tracked perfect.
So I'm happy so far with the sound I'm getting really fricken happy.

It's easy to go through a batch of good vintage speakers only to return to the less than perfect Dynaco A25.
I use the A40XL. Similar sound.
 
Some of the best speaker stands are the speaker/end tables. I have four of the Realistic Optimus 6 and also Pioneer made similar models as well. The put the tweeters right at ear level when seated. They are a three way speaker as well but I just use them for stands in both my living room and bedroom.

Clever way of using those speakers looks vary cool man.
I'm excited to start tweaking the setup with everyone's suggestion in mind. Not going to lie this is pretty fun and it makes me wonder why it's taken me so long to get into it.

If you search Google there are actually many plans for DIY speaker stands that will not only look good but will do well. If you have some basic skills. Might be a lot cheaper.

In my pictures above you can see my Marantz Imperial 6s........they will sound the best with your Marantz receiver. They are around 93db sensitive.
 
Moving the small speakers off the stand should give you enough space to set the turntable next to the receiver, which will solve the venting issue, and will probably take care of most vibration issues.
 
If you recap your speakers ask here first before you just put whatever brand of poly caps in them. I thought I was putting good caps in the two pairs I have and did not like the results and later learned that different brands have different sound qualities. Hopefully you can get some good recommendations from people who have done "your" speakers and liked the results and what brand they used.

My brother is and electrician so this will help and the plethora of information and tutorials out there. Second project

Looks good,

I’d move the bookshelf’s off the same table the turntable is on. Your cart may pick up some feedback form the speakers. Maybe place the TT next to the receiver instead of on top. Isolation is a big part of turntables.

Other than that, enjoy your music :)
