Can I replace P-Mount Headshell with Standard Head Shell?

Thanks all. I decided to pass on this. While I'm not afraid of doing some work on my own, this project just seemed like too much. The whole point was to put together a nice table for a small $, not create a frankenstein table. Thanks again for all your suggestions!

jjw: Good decision. There are so many of these Technics slimline radial trackers (especially SL-BD20s, as Technics just discontinued that model a couple of years ago...) - hence no need to grab a broken one, as you should easily be able to find another in better condition.

Why did no one mention replacing the Technics arm with the same model arm? They can be had cheep.

If you want a Techiics turntable, you would be better off with a direct drive model anyhow.
