I'm a big fan of my current CR-800, but I'm looking to upgrade. I'm looking at the CR-1020, since I know the 2020 is out of my price range right now. It has just about everything I want, but I have one question: can the Dolby FM adaptor switch be used like the regular adaptor switches found on the CR-x40 series? I would like to use an adaptor loop for my EQ and other processors instead of fuddling with my tape loops.
Looking through the owner's manual for the 1020, it only mentions the Dolby adaptor switch in relation to listening to FM. I'm afraid it is only wired into the tuner section of the receiver and it would have no effect on the sound if I'm using any other input. Is this the case? I appreciate the help.
