might still be cache etc .. or could be en route to you somehow ..its fine for me .. sorry i cant be much more help .
 
Sigh...not cache (cleared already)...funny how it was working fine until this weekend and suddenly it's slow as molasses again...
 
Just noticed that one of my posts has apparently disappeared. Not sure which one, but my message count was 1,242 this morning, and has now gone down to 1,241 (well, it'll go back up to 1,242 after I post this, but it should be 1,243). I hope this isn't a sign of another database issue... :eek:

I cant seem to edit a post I just made,says:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forums/index.php on this server.

WTF ???

Just started,no idea what the problem is,can post in the little window under the thread,but when I try to edit that post no-go.
Which is a PITA because I had something that should've been in quotes but a [ got left out and now it's not in quotes.

Sigh.

I had this problem in Firefox. It turned-out to be a Firefox add-on. I got rid of it.
 
Non-subscribers have only a few minutes to edit a post.

If someone else deletes a thread they started, which also contains one of your posts, your post is deleted along with the rest, and your count goes down.

Understood. Was just making sure the database wasn't hiccuping again. :) These computers can always be a source of "fun"...

When I try to upload and post a cropped photo from my iPhone or iPad I get this error message:

I have no problem uploading original, unedited photos.

What software are you using to crop your photos?
In the other thread, the post looked like a file extension issue -
I grabbed that image and posted it here -

is your software changing the filetype?

So - I don't know what kind of photo you start with,
or what file name it gets after you crop it
Are they .JPG images? .png?
 
Its a photo taken with the camera on my iPhone or iPad, so whatever file type that is. I have no control over what it is saved as or how it is saved.

I know when you crop a photo in iOS you have the option to revert back to the original whenever you want so maybe that has something to do with it. The temporary crop is screwing with the file extension of the original or something.

I can't figure out how to change the personal text under my avatar and user name (the one that reads "Favors old technology" in my case). I had no trouble typing it in a few years ago, but can't find my way back to it.

On my profile page, it's there under personal details. This may be only available to subscribers though.
 
Can't find it under Personal Details. But it must be here someplace, or else how did I enter the text originally?

What is that line of text called?

hover over your name then select personal details ..
