Wigo was never exported to the US. Looking at resale values, the Canton Karat 60 eats the Wigo's lunch. I'd probably go with the Canton. My experience with Canton has been very positive. Great real wood veneer and well built drivers.

I have zero experience or knowledge of Wigo speakers, but use Canton Karat 60's daily. The Karat 60's are a great speaker, very clear and detailed, great midrange and surprisingly good bass. Very good speakers. I love them.

Cheers,
James

I've had the 60's hooked up to a Yamaha AX-700, Yamaha AX-1090 and at the moment a Yamaha RX-V3900 with the Karat's being used as front channel in a 5.1 setup. In each case they sound great together. The AX-700/Karat 60 seems to be a great combination in terms of load/power for 2-channel. I think that Yamaha amps and Canton speakers are a match made in heaven. I'm currently looking for a pair of Karat 100's or Quinto 510's to replace the Grundig Box 650b's that I'm using in my PC setup with a Yamaha A-520.

Cheers,
James

I am looking at technical specs of given Yamaha receivers ( AX-700 and V3900 ) both are rated at 8ohm per channel, where Karat's 60 are 4ohm !
How did you manage different rated equipment ? Isn't make difference in performance ?

Also keep in mind that the Karat 60 has a sensitivity of 93.4db. That's quite efficient. Meaning that it doesn't take a lot of power to get these speakers playing very loud.

Cheers,
James

They are Impressive.
Glad to hear it works well at high level. Will definitely get one.
Good luck for your search too.

Anis
