Captain America killed off

Remember when Iron Man went on quite a heavy drinking bender? I was relatively young when that happened. Pretty shocking adult content for a comic book aimed at kids.

I loved it.

Enjoyed Marvel over DC, but loved "The Dark Night" Batman.

Also enjoyed Creepy magazine, and Eerie magazine, and any of those Boris Vellejo covered mags.

I'd love to get my hands on back issues of Creepy and Eerie.

Oh, and might not have liked the story line, but sure loved Vampirella, more than hot fudge sundaes, Lik'm Ade, alva skateboards and Huffy BMX bikes.

I loved the comic cover art too! Vampirella was the closest to porno a 12 year old kid could get!

Ive always been a Silver Surfer guy.I loved his soliloquies.
Does anyone remember a superhero named Badger? This guy was out there,I mean,gone,history,see-ya.He had the standard issue superhero tights, but his face was painted kinda like a badger, and he used his powers to go off on drive thru fast food places and old ladies jaywalking. The best.

i never much liked the good captain, give me some certifiable nut like punisher, wolverine or deadpool. the kind of heroes that leave the bad guys in puddles, now thats good educational reading =]
i've always found dc a bit bland...

My superhero was .... Dirty Harry ...but ...the forces that be had more power over him.. bummer...:sigh:

Cap't America was cool though .,..R.I.P you will not be forgotten....

Sgt. Rock was my superhero as a kid. All he had was a machine gun and bad vocabulary. Better than a shield any day. :uzi:

The Green Lantern would kick all their arses!!! :boxing: :p: :D

Nah, Kato would have done it for him.

EVERYBODY knows who Bruce Lee is. Who played the Green Lantern in the TV series, again????

Caps "super powers" were increased strength and speed, not really super human but at the highest levels a human could achieve, due to the super soldier program. His shield is made from adamantium the same metal that wolverines claws and skelton have on them. The strongest metal known in the marvel universe. Indestructible. His shield is balanced so he can throw it and ala' Batman, Captain America was the greatest hand to hand combatant in the marvel universe, his fighting ability was such that he could beat super powered foes and battle folks like spiderman whose strength is like able to lift 15 tons or so, to a stand still.
