I'm have the golf tournament on TV, and I heard them say they were giving a Cadillac CTS for a hole-in-one on the 15th hole. I looked up and noticed that it was red. I just saw one in town a few days ago, and it is red. Then it occurred to me that every one I have seen is red. I thought about it, and it seems to me that certain cars are always going to be associated with certain colors. The Caddy might be one.

A few others that come to mind:

'66 Chevelle SS396 - Marina Blue

'67 Firebird - Firebird Green

'70 Challenger - Plum Crazy

I know there are others. The first Corvettes were ALL Polo White. And the T-Ford was "Any color as long as it's black".

Are there any other cars that bring a particular color to mind when you think of them?:scratch2:

67 Camaro-British Racing Green ( I think thats what it was called )

70 Cuda's-Tor-Red,with a Black vinyl top.

70 Boss 302 Mustang- Bright Yellow/Black shaker hood and stripe.

Seems like all the Buick Grand Nationals were Black on Black.

( Of course there was my car in( Electric Blue )

There were a few shades of green for the early Camaro but no BRG. Forrest Green was probably the one you're thinking of. British Racing Green is more of a marketing term than an actual color but real BRG in its various shades is basically the same as Ford Model-A green and it's a very drab color.

Grabber blue comes to mind for the Boss Mustangs.

Except for the small number of 1982 models, Grand Nationals were all black (true black) paint with blacked-out trim and two-tone grey/black seats.
 
Well, all I know is a friend had a Camaro in 67 and it was a bright green,and I remember him sayin it was Brg. But I looked up BRG, and its dark color green ,so thats not what it was called. All I know, it would knock your eyes out,it was bright....

Hey Great, all I know is I liked it,was an early 67 before they called them
Z/28's. RS 302 290 HP with 2 4bbls on a crossram. Cool Car.:yes:
 
A little clarification here.

Rallye Green would not be available on Camaros until 1968, and was offered again in 1969.
 
Well I don't know what to tell ya, but I know what color his car was,and it was the same color as the 67 in the you tube video,and he bought it brand new,so if that color is Rallye Green,they had it in 67,or called it something else. I don't know,wrong car camp for me.......:D
 
Not an offical color, but every single early 90's Geo I see is that off-red, not-quite-pink shade from the clear coat peeling off. Weird thing is, i've only seen a couple not red geo's anyway (usually trackers are different shades).

Challengers are interesting, one of the few cars that could really pull off both purple and lime green, and it works:yes:
 
British racing green is from back in the days when international racing teams ran national colors, a practice that went by the wayside when the cars became sponsor billboards. There was also red for Italy, grey for Germany, blue for France, and if I recall correctly, orange for Holland.
