Hi, I have a cartridge that I need help identifying. It might not even be worth finding out but it's bugging me. It has a C shaped letter E type gold logo, I'll post pics...any help would be greatly appreciated

beatcomber is right!! It is the Epiphone logo, I had no idea Epiphone made a phono cartridge? Anyone have any idea if this is worth keeping or the age of this?

Probably a re-label for a related Epiphone product, I doubt they would re-invent the wheel on their own dime for a basic record player.

Looks like a Euphonics Miniconic

That's exactly what it is. I sold one earlier this year for a surprising amount of money.

The Miniconic was an early (mid '60s) strain-gauge cartridge, a failure in the marketplace but a stunning performer for the time. Essentially the same technology as the Win Labs, Panasonic EPC, and even the current one from Soundsmith. Needs a power supply, like a condensor mike.

EDIT: Here's a set of links to a contemporary review:

Admiral used them in their top of the line Consoles.

It was a big failure, I remember Consumer Reports saying it was no better than
the top ranked Ortofon and Shure and not worth all of the extra hassle (power supply etc).

It is a bit late but I recently acquired one of these and was very happy to find these links. Thanks a lot Tumbleweed!
