Cartridges suitable for the Pioneer pl-7?

Original Pioneer pl-7 cartridge is PC-3MC - high output MC,
3 g, tf - 2g.
Is Denon dl-110(160) suitable?
Tonearm without VTA ajustment.

Welcome to AK vuzh! I'd say yes, either the DL-110 or 160 like medium mass S arms and seem to track best at around 2 grams. If you can afford either one, go for the 160. It's a bit more dynamic and revealing than the 110.

What suits pl-7 but without reservations?
For the straight arm without DynamicRA?

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll give it a try. In my system, with either the DL-160 or the DL-110 mounted on my PL-707, both have a similar sonic character but the DL-160 seems to be slightly more lifelike. Crescendos seem to have more impact and there is a bit more air in the upper registers. My impressions are subjective of course and are based on what I hear in my particular system. Both sound better than anything else I've tried.

The PL-7 Graphite composite arm is high compliance. I would stick with a cartridge that tracks between 1 and 1.6 grams and has a recommended VTF of around to 1.6 grams. The Denon's you are looking at should be fine. Stay away from 2.0 grams and up.

Pioneer pl-7, sa-608, Yamaha ns-470.
