Central Ohio, specifically Columbus anyone.

Hello to everyone in Ohio.

I finally completed the work assignment in Rockford and have purchased a home. I am willing to host listening get togethers.

I will take me a few weeks to get to Philadelphia to pick up my speakers and turntable. I would tentatively propose early to mid February.

Dayton being rather centrally located between Cincinnati\Covington and Columbus should make for a convenient location.

Visitors are asked to bring whatever drinks\snacks\food items they wish to consume and share. 1 PM to 4 or 5 PM would work for me.

It would be my preference to keep alcohol to a minimum.

I have only a turntable for a source so bring LP's. (I do have a Brooklyn Bridge that could be pressed into service.) Previously I attended get togethers in southeast PA. Sometimes other members would bring a source or amplifier or pre for comparative listening.

If you send your email address to me by PM I will keep a mailing list.

When the Covid situation eases up.

BTW, the Brooklyn Bridge has been integrated into the main system.

Now that COVID is less of a concern, I would be interested in doing a meet up some time. I have plenty of gear to share but it's not practical for me to host. @SteveJewels seems to be centrally located so if he were willing to host again, I would be happy to do some of the logistical/planning work.

Things that can move:
Fisher X-100-B with various mods and upgrades
Thiel CS2 speakers
Tekton Lore 2.0 speakers
B&W CDM-1NT bookshelf speakers
Technics SL-1200 MK II with various KAB mods and a slew of different cartridges.
I also have a basic Mighty Mite tube tester if anyone needs their bottles looked at.

I won't move my thorens... too much work. The FM-100-B could move, but I need to figure out why it has dropped a channel, and I don't know how many good FM stations are available anyway. My REL 528SE subwoofer could move, but I don't know if that's really necessary (it is pretty impressive, though) and I don't really want to pack up my entire system.

Generally weekends will be best for most people I assume. I think we could look at early to mid august.

Anyone in? Anyone in the Dayton area willing to host if Steve is not able to?

I'm in NW columbus. I have old consoles to listen to but I do have a precise 111 tube tester if anyone needs tubes tested. Also, is anyone going to the columbus hamfest this weekend? I'll be there trying to upgrade some of my diagnostic testing gear.

CMH & central Ohio lets get a club started. I work in Columbus and live in Lancaster.

To break the ice the 1st meeting could be at 2 Tones tap room in Whitehall. I have a small system I installed there(near 270 and south Hamilton Rd).

message me here or email jim.fisher@superior-dietool.com

I just subscribed today but have been lurking awhile, I live about 4 minutes from 2 tones and while I am not a beer guy, it is a great place and I have bought a good amount of their wares to take to get togethers in the past.
I would totally be down for a meet up in Ohio.
I have tons of stuff to move on and even more questions :)
Dave
