Ohio State is there, should be at least one good record store in town. Just check the net, also ask at the first store you visit.

Maybe Magnolia Thunderpussy, on High St.? Haven't been there since 1984, however...

Campus Partners, a construction/property development company has removed most if not all of what you remember from 1984. From 8th ave north to Lane ave. About all that remains is the Newport( formally the Agora)

Ah the Columbus Agora where I use to go and see Glass Harp.

Boy those were the days........................

Try RPM (Records Per Minute) at 2579 N High St., Columbus, Ohio. You can find him on facebook as well.

Are you limited to Columbus? If you're willing to road-trip to Akron, there is Square Records which is a decent shop. If you can get up to Cleveland, there's Blue Arrow (for used) and Music Saves (for new) right next to each other (though the people at Music Saves have always had an attitude when I go there, so I recommend the eminently awesome My Mind's Eye on the West Side if you're looking for new vinyl).

As for Columbus, I don't shop that way so I can't help you. Sorry.

The grand mecca of vinyl use to be "Colleens Collectibles", but she may not have a store anymore as she was putting her business on the web the last time I was there.

Last time I was in Magnolia Thunderpussy, they didn't carry vinyl. Looks like they've changed that. I was impressed with Singing Dog.
