Audiobahn makes great car stereo stuff. That is a dual voice coil woofer. This would be the kind of equipment you would hear in a car that is vibrating the store windows as it drives by. I was in a car stereo store, some years past, looking for a DIN sleeve and one of those drivers was on the counter. I inquired about it; as I had never seen one before. The shop owner said it had a 3" extrusion of the cone and that it took a 4000 watt amp to get it really moving. I would guess that it has a very limited frequency range.

They make loud subs, but for sound quality I do not think they are a match for other brands...although I am not sure of price differentials...

Blinking LEDs on the dashboard help prevent that. I've had my car remain untouched while other vehicles right next to it were broken into and had lesser stereo equipment stolen than what I was running.
