Chinese EL34 amp: your opinion please

would agree, the Dyna 70 is very similar the small block Chevy in the auto world; tons of parts available for it, and several companies offering complete kits or all the replacement parts needed to build one from scratch.

The other thing I will mention is if you don't mind dropping the jack, the ST-70 and MKIII really benefit from copper foil caps. Only issue is the physical size of the Jensen or Jupiter caps; they are quite large compared to the OEM originals used on the original dyna PCB board layouts.

There must be a superior scheme in everyday's events. I was going to purchase the rftlys yesterday, but I had to stop since my on line bank was off line and I was not able to charge the funds in my prepaid card. Later in the evening I saw an advertising for an original Dynaco ST70. The chassis is largely pitted, but it's a European version in a European country, and it seems 100% original. Marked Dynaco everywhere, even the driver tubes. The seller says he replaced the rectifier tube and the amp is biased and working. Zero bids, the price is ridiculous...I cross my fingers!
