Choice between sota sapphire and SL1200MKII

Well this is a bit like comparing a Mustang to a Porsche but I would grab the Sota and never look back.

The platter spins smoothly everything seems to work flawlesly. I will get a 90 day warranty on it so I will play it alot to make sure everything works properly. If the motor does need replacement down the line I will sell the Technics to buy a new motor. He also has all the packing boxes that came with it so when we move it, it will be packed properly

That's worth money right there. I paid extra for a box to ensure my table arrived undamaged.

Personally I have found that going from a Technics 1200 DD to a BT, never mind which, is very difficult. For me, nah I miss the precision in start up and slow down, the very low W&F, the perfect pitch.
It just doesn´t work for me.
What I really want is the new 1200.
