I'm Just a Bus Driver, but What do I Know?
Finally, Phil Keaggy was mentioned.
I saw him perform a solo show at a local church here in Philly a few years ago. He was just stunning with echo loop and acoustic guitar. If you want to hear what he sounded like before he got brain cancer and went Religious, find some old Glass Harp where he plays killer electric guitar.
Another one that I did not see mentioned, and not a heavy hitter but a Blues Band, is Darrel Mansfield. He plays Harmonica, well a whole belt full without missing a beat. The band is a rocking Blues band and yes, sometimes a bit preachy. I have a few of his including a Live show he did for inmates at the Graterford Prison in Philly a few days after he played the same church as Phil played.
