Classical music listening: What (if anything) makes it different?

I love classical music. However, I'm a much less demanding listener than some who've posted here. If the mids sound good to me, then I'm happy with my classical music. I haven't been to a live music event of any kind for ten years, and back twenty-five for live classical. Those who attend live classical concerts have calibrated and are recalibrating their ear to the real thing, whereas I simply want it to sound good to me and my crusty old, uncalibrated ears.

Makes me very easy to please, just a music slut, I guess. Not the least picky... maybe a tad.
