Those things remind me of the Kuba Komet German TV/radio/phono unit of the late '50s-early '60s..Very "Sharp" styling, somewhat aggressive lookin'...I'm afraid if I had a set of those, I'd come in loaded some nite, & get into a fight w/'em...Those speaks kinda look like George Jetson's plumber or sumpin'...
 
They're kinda cool. Reading the ebay questions and his answers, he seems a little odd. But don't we all? I'd like to hear them.
 
This is the ultimate in flipping the woofers 180° to avoid sag. These speakers, if that was done regularly may have good spiders and decent surrounds if they haven't crumbled. I'd like to hear them, too. I fondly remember a pair of Fs in one stereo I used back in the day.
 
Even at my absurd asking price of $15,000 per pair they are cheap by comparison standards.

He is right about one thing: the sound of those is spectacularly good, comparable to new speakers at a much higher price.

Still, for anyone who likes DIY, it would be more fun to find two pair, restore and stack them oneself. A lot cheaper, too! The challenge is to find two pair in restorable shape... they're not very commonplace. For someone with money to spare who wants the sound without the delay and hassle of a DIY approach... :scratch2:... the price is still absurd. I'd make him a lower, more realistic offer, and if he doesn't take it, move on and start speaker-hunting.
 
Looks like Marksy is at it again, Usually its big Infinity's he's selling. I think he has a housefull of big Infinity's.
 
The dude selling (?) these things sure is Impressed w/Hisself, ain't he ?!? BTW, Clarksville is, I think, down near Nashville, about 200 miles or so from me. Because of Nashville being sort of the Country Music capital & all, I think there's all kinds of "Hi-End" audio gear there. I've only been to Nashville a couple of times, its as different as night & day from East Tennessee, where I live. And Memphis ? Its in another universe...(grin)
