Okay, so there's no photo, at least he provided a seven word description.;)

It appears to be local pickup only... and it's in Seattle... hmmm.:scratch2:

Everybody's a newbie once.

So he's not very Internet savvy big deal. Hope he gets more than he would have selling on craigslist. Then he'd be a genius.

OK, they added to the description. It's twice as long as it was.

But I think they can do better still.
It is a very nice TT and deserves a pic at least.

In Seattle... and I'm going to be there tomorrow night thru thu... Hmmm :scratch2: I wonder if I can fit it in my suitcase.

For the Seattle folks, it works to their advantage to have this as low key as possible. So if people are nervous about no picture, great, more chances for me. ;)

If you want me to delete the thread, let me know.

What you are discussing is fair. And fortunately you don't mention or identify the model in your title or thread. So hopefully this will go to an AKer instead of a lurker. Otherwise, I figure it's all fair competition. :)

Well, it went for $100 less than the other 838 that had a repaired cover and non-original headshell.

I told you he could have done better.

I hope someone got a beautiful TT.

Rob

Yeah, your -- I told you so is deserved. lol.

I did a reverse directory search on his name and profile seems to be an older gent in a pretty good neighborhood, which confirmed my assumption of lack of internet savvy and lead me to believe he probably didn't even have a digital camera. So lack of picture didn't bother me.

It looked like a good deal to be had from as you put it - a newbie.

Then the seller opened it up to outside buyers.

Depends on which side you are on - buyer side to get the best deal or not. Or seller side to criticize marketing skills.

Regardless, one gutsy buyer got a potentially great deal.

I probably helped bring in some bidders. The question about original owner and how much use was mine.

So $100 less? I told you nervous nellies would back off. ;) :D
