Concept receivers - documentation posted.

Concept 7.5D Owner's Manual and Schematic

This guy locally to me had an ad on CL about a Concept 2QD for sale in "as new" condition ($150). I was too late on the trigger to get it, but I found out he also had a Concept 7.5D - both purchased new. To make a longish story short, he still had the original owner's manual (includes the schematic) for the Concept 7.5D, that he was kind enough to scan for me as it was missing from our database.

It has now been uploaded to the database! :thmbsp:

Picked up a 16.5 for $35 in mint condition.

Finally found a Concept TT to go with my 16.5.

The TT is in great shape!!

What about speakers or cassette decks? I have seen speakers that were for the 11.0?

I am using the 16.5 and the TT and running them through my B&W 801 series 80s....very demanding speakers.

Concept made three speaker models - the CE-2, CE-1, and CE-M (from little to big), all featuring a Heil AMT tweeter, and all quite rare. For a 16.5, I would recommend the CE-M, if you can find one, or if not that, the CE-1, for a complete Pacific Stereo setup.

My CE-2:

They also had two decks - the earlier ELC and the later ELC-2, both quite rare (there is an ELC on eBay right now). Of the two, the ELC-2 is the superior unit.

Finally, they offered one pair of headphones - the CE-H - practically impossible to find: I have seen one pair for sale on eBay, but missed out on it, and one pair owned by AK'er Yacbweq (does anyone have his email address?) - that's it!

Please send me the serial number for that 16.5 for the Concept database, if you don't mind. Thanks.

Quadraflex Reference 650FET-R Owner's Manual

Thanks to an anonymous contribution the following document has been added to the database:

Quadraflex Reference 650FET-R Owner's Manual

This would be the first non-Concept entry into the database of Pacific Stereo's private brands: We will continue to post any non-Concept PS literature as we receive (and find) them.

Great stuff. I just got a Concept 5.5 at a Goodwill for $40. I didn't know much about them so its interesting to look at the manual. By the way, the serial number is in 20,000s.

Just to refresh this thread, I want to say I'm ever more impressed with my Concepts as time passes. The 16.5 is my daily driver for my Altec 19's, and I have another in gratefull's hands for a complete going over. My second unit will go to my shop and run my A7 VOTT's.

That is all ;)

Thanks for this thread, it was very informative.

Im just a lurker, but had to come outta the shadows to give props.

I just picked up a nice Concept 5.5 and hadnt heard of them before.

This thread was crucial in my decision to buy.

Thanks,
Lionel

Alright, I am about to get my first baby-Concept 2.0 tomorrow and was happy to find this database with manuals, schematics etc. But, despite being the member (obviously) and being logged in I can not get access to the link(s) ?!
When I click on either of the links page just reloads and asks me to REGISTER in order to get access ..what the heck? Njord, are links defunct?

I have the same problem. The OP hasn't been on AK since 2009, so not sure what happened to all the links.

There is a documentation section on AK you can navigate to directly. Have you looked there?
