constant head pressure / pain

so... it may be stress

I am if i'm entirely honest a tad high strung by nature and this has been a challenging year... very challenging

but now it seems i have constant pressure in the left side of my face (around back teeth and moving towards my nose)

it is sort of dull pain / pressure feeling

so far zyrtec and naproxen are useless in solving any of it... however taking Codeine sort of made it go away...or made me not care about it anymore :D... not sure.

I've had this problem off and on since i was in my early 20s ....never probably did much about it ...(genius i know right?) but it is pretty bad now...they did just change my blood pressure meds because it wasn't responding to the other stuff. May be coincidence? but this new round of pressure pain did start 3 or 4 days after that.... of course it also started around the time my wife's (breast cancer survivor.... well she just finished treatments and hopefully all reports suggest is all clear now..and all.) cat was determined to likely have a brain tumor ..... not really been the best week here..i.e. metric F*** ton of stress and all.

anyone have any experience with anything like this and / or ideas on how to try to make it stop...

If it can't be fixed with aspirin, ex-lax, or penicillin, I don't think a forum is a good place to ask a question such as yours.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

I used to have WANGING eye-crosser headaches, blamed 'em on sinus, pressure, the whole business...Started having "Auras" too-Would have "Sparklies" in my eye, would lose sight in it for awhile...Finally, had a mild stroke. You body is likely trying to tell you something, maybe you oughta pay attention..Just sayin'.

of course Codeine works its much same as heroin . don't take too much or you will have going to the toilet troubles of the sitting down sort .. ok constipation .. are you getting enough fresh air ? .. not city air i mean country air and a bit of a walk around .

Not all meds will agree with your body, but one thing for sure is, go back to your doctor and explain your symptoms, it's very important.
Sandy G as good point, your body will always, well most of the time anyway, give you a warning, you have to listen.
Hope everything turns out alright.
My best to your wife.

I sorta almost had the same symtoms except for the bad Headaches for almost year..
Passed out one night while driving on a bridge and crashed into the protective blocks.
Went to the hospital the next day and found out I had a pituatary tumor that was pressing on the nerves on My eyes.
Hadda get an operation to remove it...almost left this place.
Take yer butt to the hospital and Find out for sure what the problem is.

I happen to know that it can be a real #&*(%$# for a doctor to figure out what's chronically setting off a nerve around the face, sorry to say, but you should see one anyway. With all this tumor talk, I should say from experience that it can also be caused by something fairly harmless.

Go to your doctor and try to explain precisely what you feel - where, when, how strong, how constant or variable, and DO NOT try to suggest to him/her what the diagnosis is. If your doc is unsure, ask if you can have a second opinion please, and don't preload the second doc with your speculation either - get a truly fresh look.

Hoope you get some quick relief!

alright...so i am convinced

i have a call in to the dr. and my dentist to try to make appoints with each to try to figure out what the hell is going on.

Yeah, MY stroke was kinda "Fun" in a strange way-Had the whole summer off, my old man was NICE to me for a change, I came up to women I didn't know, & went "Gimme a Hug ! I Hadda Stroke !" Got a LOT of hugs, & a lot more grins that way, but I was EXTREMELY lucky..You may not be, if that's what's wrong w/you...Stokin' up to have a stroke...But honestly, a LOT of it, I've NEVER gotten over. I CAN'T really hold a job now, & I feel like I'm about 2/3 of the guy I once was. Some things STILL don't work quite right, I STILL have "Accidents" w/"#1 & #2" all the time...

oh man... I'm sorry about your troubles Sandy..thanx for SCARRING the hell out of me..and I'm not actually being sarcastic... I would rather avoid that if at all possible

I'm only in my early 40s so i'm hoping i'm not about to have a stroke? but and in my 20s and 30s i was a bit caviler about heath type issues..but i need to figure out if possible what is going on here before it gets worse

gah...i hate going to the doctor and teh dentist...I have spent soooo much time in hospitals this year (not for me ..but w/ the wife and all.) oh well have to do it i guess.

if i'm honest it has been hella difficult to work / concentrate on anything all day with this stupid head pain however...

Man, get your behind to the Doctor and we'll all be praying for good news.
I think You'll be fine.

So many possibilities: teeth, acute sinus infection, vision, muscular tension, stress, blood pressure, stroke potential.

GET TO A GOOD PHYSICIAN!

Unless you're going in right away, it might be a good idea to stop by the pharmacy and use the free BP machine in the meantime. Since your meds have changed. Other than that, seeing the docs is the right thing to do!

What he said! Drink plenty of water. You'd be surprised how much it helps to get plenty of fluids...works for me anyway.

Feel better soon and if need be, see a Dr!

Is your wife right-handed?

If so, try jewelry or flowers.
If not, probably time to see the doc.
