constant head pressure / pain

As others have said, see your doctor and your dentist. I had similar problems, and it turned out I was clenching my teeth at night - my dentist noticed it by looking at my teeth, fitted me for a mouth guard that I wear at night, and problem solved.

Pain is your body's way of saying something's up. Don't ignore it. For me it was migraines, and I thought it was inherited from my Mom's side of the family. Didn't do anything for years. Finally, I got some stresses under control, improved my diet (less salt, more water, better eating overall) got my blood pressure under control, quit smoking, and topped it off with talk therapy. End result - no more migraines! :thmbsp:

Ask about Ocular migraines. Are you seeing auras? An aura would manifest as a series of waves in your vision. Some have compared it to looking underwater. Good Luck

I just got seen by an allergist...seems that I'm allergic to 30+ substances, however dust-mites are the highest offender.I'm changing some of my cleaning habits and keeping the humidity low.So far I'm at least getting better sleep...as my post nasal drip has improved making nasal breathing possible. My 2 cents.Getting good sleep is essential!

so... holiday week not apparently ideal for making appointements

i felt somewhat better today...so decided probably don't need urgentcare (my hmo's er lite) or ER

still trying to figure out getting in to see my regular dr and waiting for a call back from dentist

but thanx for the additional thoughts / info.

I have CNS (Central Nervous System) Vasculitis which if flares up, causes strokes. I've had 4 strokes in a period of 5 years back in 00-05. So, I know what Sandy G went through as I have had the same symptoms although timing sounds a little different.

But head pain is different from headache. Headache from strokes feel different from a normal headache. It is a constant pain; for me it was centered towards the back and top. It lasts for 3-4 weeks. 'Sparkly' eye thing was like staring at a bright light then closing your eyes, after images. But it shows up in very bright lines for about 1/2 hour then blinds (for me right eye) for about another 1/2 hour.

I had my first stroke when I was 35 but I have CNSV which is rare. Unless one side 'feels' different, ie. skins feels tingly, one side weakness, etc. then I don't think you've had a stroke. Mini strokes feels like a normal stroke but only last about 24 hours. They don't leave permanent damage but are warnings.

It does sound like you have something going on with your sinuses. I would see the doctor first before seeing the dentist.
