Afternoon. I have a coral 3H-7 tweeter, can't find any info, expect that they were made in Japan. Does anyone have any info on these, or about coral in general? Thanks

I do remember that in the 70's they made HF compression drivers that were physically identical to the JBLs. I don't know what they sounded like. I only saw them, not heard them.

I picked up a couple little Coral speakers that have the original tweeters in them. Too bad the woofers had already been replaced.

From what I was able to find online, those little old Corals are highly desirable to the tube croud.

I DO know that they (the tweeters) sound great in the speakers I have on my low power tube gear. The replaced woofers are pretty lame though.

When I took my speakers apart looking for weak points, I did notice that the tweeters are seriously built. Nothing cheap about them.

I have a pair of nice round, white Coral horns that I dug out of a shabby pair of speaks (Zenith?) years ago. They were mounted from the back, so were in time-capsule shape. Never knew what to do with them, so they're still in a drawer somewhere. Nice build, very solid, really good-looking.
