Cornwall IV

Just purchased a used set of Cornwall IV speakers.
I have owned a few klipsch speakers throughout my audio journey such as Klipschorns, La Scala's, Belle's, Original Cornwalls, Chorus I, Chorus II, Heresy, RF-7 II's etc. etc. etc.
I can say from experience that these are a fantastic speaker and I am quite pleased.
I had been wanting to try these since they updated the mid horn (finally) and they did a wonderful job with this update.
They sound full, rich and open. Very lively but controlled throughout the volume listening levels from low level listening to high volume sessions.
I have one issue however. During shipping the paint has worn on the top edges and top surface. Does anyone know the exact color and finish to match the black ash?

Congrats. In my opinion, the Cornwall IV is one of the best Klipsch products I’ve listened to.

Without knowing exactly how these are finished, I might try a bit of black shoe polish wax (not the liquid kind - the kind that comes in a can). No real heat issues and should be able to blend very well if you are careful. It should work nicely especially if there is a modest sheen to the finish but not a very high gloss.

I am very impressed with the sound of these speakers and very happy.
I did change one thing with excellent results though.
I removed the solid jumpers between the LF and HF speaker connectors and installed the Revelation Silver Jumpers and they increased the clarity and detail very noticeably.

I was aware of the possibility of that and thinking the same thing as well but no listening fatigue fortunately.
They are just clearer in all frequencies remaining very well balanced.
Increasing clarity in all frequencies not just tilting the highs up for perceived clarity is the difference.
 
Off the subject I would say you chose a great mcintosh intgrated amp to use with your speakers.

Using a sharpie sounds like a good idea to me as a second choise. I assume Klipsch can send you a small bottle of touch up paint, then you may have to use a clear satin for the final over all coat. Thats what I use when I touch up my speakers.
